Course Outline

Web 2.0 is a term describing changing trends in the use of World Wide Web technology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0). It has taken the digital natives by storm, with most youngsters logged onto social networking sites, blogging and creating their very own podcasts. Don’t get left out. Such technology is usually free and easy to use. Come join us in this fun hands-on workshop and get connected online.

Assistant Professor Wettasinghe, Cyraine Marissa

Dr. Marissa Wettasinghe is an Assistant Professor at the Learning Science and Technologies Academic Group, and Head of the Centre for IT in Education at the National Institute of Education. She lectures in pre-service and in-service teacher and corporate education programmes including Information Technology, E-learning Instructional Design and Adult Learning Strategies. Her teaching and research interests have spanned a wide range of e-learning topics including IT for enhanced teaching & learning, adult learning, continuing professional development of teachers using IT in education and classroom management
